About Lesson Pack

Sellers on eBay are always short of hours, and that is exactly where an assistant earns their place. This pack walks through the work such an assistant really does, from understanding how eBay search decides what to show first to the weekly check-in with the seller. Along the way you research products, draft listings, set sensible prices, answer buyer messages and write a short account report. Everything is practiced on sample items, so nothing goes live by accident. The pace is friendly and the explanations are plain. No earlier eBay experience is needed, and a free eBay account for browsing and research is enough to begin.

Session Details

Session# 1: How eBay Works and What an Assistant Does 1Hr
See the marketplace from the seller's side: how buyers search, how Buy It Now and auction formats differ, what a seller account involves and which selling policies an assistant must respect. Then sketch a typical week of assistant work and where each task is handed over, and the result is a role outline that fits on one page.

Session# 2: Finding Products Worth Listing 1Hr
Demand leaves traces, and you learn to read them. Use sold-item searches to compare price ranges, spot crowded categories and judge whether a product deserves a seller's time. Run five product ideas through the same checklist and finish with a ranked shortlist and a short note on each.

Session# 3: Building a Listing from Scratch 1Hr
Take one product from category choice to a finished draft. You write a title from real search terms, fill in item specifics, describe the condition honestly, plan the photos and set shipping and returns. The draft waits in a spreadsheet, ready for a seller's approval.

Session# 4: Making an Existing Listing Work Harder 1Hr
Pick a weak listing and compare it with the top results for the same search. Title, specifics, photos, price and shipping each get a verdict. Rewrite it, record what changed and why, then learn which numbers (views, watchers, sales) show over the next two weeks whether the change helped.

Session# 5: Pricing, Orders and Buyer Messages 1Hr
Put together a simple profit sheet that turns item cost, eBay fees and postage into a price that still leaves something for the seller. After that comes the daily inbox. You check new orders, answer buyer questions, and practice calm replies for a return request and a late parcel.

Session# 6: Running the Account Week by Week 1Hr
Assemble a weekly routine covering listing checks, stock, orders, messages and feedback. Write a one-page account report for a seller, and learn how to work inside someone else's account safely, using the owner's permission settings where the account allows it instead of a shared password. The hour closes with how to describe your service to a first seller.
